Last chance to book – IOSH Directing Safely
To better comply with the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 your board of directors should consider the presence on the board of a health and safety director which can be a strong signal that the issue is being taken seriously and that its strategic importance is understood.
Setting up a separate risk management committee as a subset of the board, chaired by the health & safety director, can make sure the key issues are addressed & guard against time & effort being wasted on trivial risks & unnecessary bureaucracy.
Providing health and safety training to some or all of the board can promote understanding & knowledge of the key issues in your organisation.
We are running a one day IOSH Directing Safely programme in Doncaster on Wednesday 24th February 2010; guest speaker is Mr Nigel Deane – a well respected & enthusiastic safety professional.
The programme aims to provide directors/owners with an understanding of the moral, legal & business case for proactive health & safety management & give guidance on effective risk management.
Lunch and refreshments are provided, the cost of the course is £185.00 + VAT, please use the reply function to book.
